1-2 lbs large shrimp, head and shell on
2-4 oz Sausage of any kind
2 Cups Water
1/2 of The Whole Shebang Paste, more or less to taste (recipe here)
Lemon wedges for garnish
In a wok heat the paste until it starts to bubble
Add in the sausage and shrimp
Stir to make sure all the shrimp and sausage have sauce on them.
Add water and cook until the shrimp is cooked through (when it is pink and begins to curl in on itself)
Serve over miracle rice or with baked sweet potato fries
Note - This is an eat with your hands kind of dish. Sucking the juice from the head is seriously th best part. If you're squeamish about whole shrimp you can use peeled and deveined shrimp but it won't be as tasty as whole shrimp is. When serving it is helpful to have LOTS of napkins and an extra bowl for your shrimp shells. This recipe can be used for crab and other seafood as well.
