This has seriously become one of my favorite sweet treats! Since I love apple pie, and the hubby hates it, i rarely eat it (while not on Paleo). This recipe is perfect since I can whip it up in a second and have a single serving of guilt free paleo friendly apple pie with a little caramel flavor. I hope you enjoy it!
Ingredients
1 apple sliced through the middle and cored (more or less depending on how many servings you want)
1/4 teaspoon ghee
A sprinkle of cinnamon
A sprinkle of nutmeg
A sprinkle of stevia
A pinch of sea salt
Directions
Put your apple cut side up in a bowl
Sprinkle spices, stevia and sea salt to taste
Add a small dab of butter in the hole where the core was
Microwave for 3 minutes per half (6 min give or take for a full apple) until tender and the top looks slightly dehydrated - note you can also bake until tender
Enjoy!
NOTE - for crunch you can too with roasted and crushed nuts or coconut
