Here's another quick fixing meals for parents who have little time or just folks who need a fast meal. It took me 15 minutes flat to prep and cook this meal. I hope it's as easy for you as it was for me. Note, since the birth of my son I started using pre-chopped garlic (in water) it might not be 100% paleo since it's been chopped by someone else but the time it saves me is well worth it. Maybe I'll go back to fresh garlic when I don't have a newborn and a toddler climbing all over me while I cook but for now I'm stuck with the pre-chopped stuff.
Ingredients
1 1/2 lbs flank steak, cut against the grain into 1/8-1/4in slices (the thinner the better)
1 package of mushrooms (whole or rough chopped, I used shiitake)
2 cups broccoli florets
1 teaspoon fat of choice (optional)
1 teaspoon sesame oil
1 1/2 teaspoons coconut aminos or soy sauce
Paprika, Pepper, Himalayan Sea Salt, Cayenne pepper to taste
1-2 teaspoons Sambal to taste (optional)
Directions
Get a skillet piping hot
Season meat with paprika, sea salt and cayenne
Add in your sesame oil
Add in meat - DO NOT STIR OR TOUCH MEAT UNTIL ITS STARTING TO LOOK COOKED AROUND THE EDGES OF THE TOP (you'll thank me when you don't have gross grey meat)
Add in garlic, mushrooms and broccoli. Do not stir.
Cover and cook for 2-3 minutes to release some of the liquid from the mushrooms.
Uncover, add in aminos and sambal
Cool until meat is tender
Enjoy over leafy greens, broccoli slaw, shirataki, as is or just top with an egg.
Enjoy!
