If you're like me, you love coconut water, the fresher the better but the thought of attempting to open a fresh coconut is overwhelming. Well, I recently went on a mission to find the easiest way to open a coconut without breaking anything in my kitchen. The result? A simple solution using just a strong chefs knife and leverage.
1. Clear the top portion of any husk
2. Gently hit your coconut withveither the back of the blade or the tip at an angle of roughly 45 degrees until you see a small crack form
3. Slide your knife in the crack and turn the knife so the leverage pops the top of the coconut open
4. Slide in a straw and enjoy that delicious water!
