In my pre-paleo and keto days I used to grab breakfast sandwiches at Starbucks on the regular. While they taste delicious I know the bread was loaded with carbs. I still love the idea of a real fast sandwich since its easy to eat when on the go so this morning I made myself one on a psyllium bread roll. While I kept it pretty classic using Grassfed cheese, Grassfed butter, egg and peppered bacon I can only begin to imaging the amazing flavor combinations that will come on future attempts. I definitely want to try avocado, egg and bacon for my next one. What flavors will you combine? I encourage you to experiment.
Here's what I used for mine.
Ingredients
1 Psyllium Bread Roll, sliced in half (prep according to psyllium bread recipe but divide into 6 rolls an bake for 35-45 minutes at 375)
1 Ounce Cheese of Choice
1 Slice of Bacon, Cooked
1 Egg, Scrambled
1 Teaspoon Butter
Directions
Butter and toast your bread
Pop cheese on the bread and toast until melted
Layer bread, egg and bacon
Enjoy!
